The duct tape bites into her wrists. Caleb's deep purple eyes don't waver. He always plays to win, and she never backs down from a challenge. But bound to a chair, completely at his mercy, she's starting to wonder if she made a mistake. Caleb leans in with hungry eyes, voice like velvet. "You trust me, don't you?" Her pulse spikes, her cheeks flush. She knows she does. But the real question is... should she? A steamy (but SFW) short fanfic featuring Caleb from Love and Deepspace.

There is no such thing as a good side and bad side in a war. We are both the good and bad side. It just depends on your perspective. Someone is keeping secrets and they might decide the fate of the Colony. The plan to end the war just might work but it is the most controversial topic in history. The people of Cambaar split into two sides over the final battle. Lorelei still doesn't believe it will work. As the war rages forward relationships unravel. Sanity is lost. And blood is spilt across the forbidding land. They finally begin to understand what it means when they hear "The price of war isn't just blood". 5- nuclear war (6-17-19)

Along with stories, I also like to dabble in poetry. This is one that I did just for fun. It is a ghazal. They are very fun poems to write, and they can also be a little tricky. It does not follow a perfect form as the qaafiya (rhyme) is not really set up. It has become more common in contemporary poetry to not have to include a qaafiya, but still. Anyways, it was still fun to write and because of where I drew the inspiration: this poem is heavily influenced by the Love and Deepspace game and characters--more specifically, the MC and Sylus. In a response to the Sci fi Challenge "Starting Anew" This is the time where many search for a fresh start, a new beginning. It's a time for renewal. We've all experienced this in one way or another. It could be watching a friend or family member, or perhaps we've needed a recharge ourselves. Today however, our goal is too witness this from the perspective of science... mad science to be more precise. Your challenge is simple. Write a 1000 word story that explains how a mad scientist might look to start anew. Oh, but don't think we wouldn't throw in a wrench. Your story must include three of the five quotes listed below: 1. "They think I'm a fool - I'll show them I'm a brilliant crazy fool!" 2. "IT'S ALIVE! Oh wait sorry, it's just gas"8 a 3. "Stand back! We wouldn't want that 'hair' to catch fire...again." 4. "You need madness in order to achieve greatness." 5. "One cannot simply turn a wrench and create life. There must be chocolate."

Two astronaut men go exploring deep space in hopes of finding a new planet to to start new life on. Once they land they discover a strange plant life form that seems like its watching them as they explore the strange planet. Then they are soon greeted by a strange women who welcomes the men to her planet. They later find out she is the leader of the planet and they to where explores looking for a new world to start life on. The leader wants to find out more about them and where they come from and wants to find earth so they can take it over as there own planet and start new life there. They must stop the aliens from finding earth and invading and killing who ever they feel are weak and leaving only the few who have power to help them become more powerful and invading the earth.
