Their marriage was a deal-cold, clean, and convenient.
Sophie was chosen to be Alan's wife, but she was never meant to have his heart. That belonged to someone else: Emily, the woman he never stopped loving.
When Emily returns, Alan doesn't hesitate. At 2 a.m., he tosses divorce papers in Sophie's face, reeking of another woman's perfume and cruel intentions.
"You were never the one," he says.
"Then why are you still here?" She smiles.
She should be shattered.
Instead, she starts to play the game.
What Alan doesn't expect is Sophie's refusal to let go. Her calm defiance. Her slow, seductive unraveling of everything he thought he knew.
Because if this marriage was arranged by others...
She'll make sure the ending is chosen by her.
