Jayla soon finds out there's a boy who was about her age who lived in another house that was fairly visible on a clear day. . . . There was just one "problem": The boy was extremely deformed. One of his eyes was lower than the other, his nose had a nostril that was smaller than the other, and his lips were kinda puffy. Jayla's dad told her to stay away from him, and that he was a demon. Jayla didn't believe it, but she did as she was told and left him alone. Then one night, Jayla was on her way home after going to a party, and she got attacked. Just when she thought death was imminent, the attacker's weight was gone. Jayla collapsed to the ground, then looked up, and to her astonishment, her savior was the deformed boy. Injured and not being able to help, she took out her phone and started recording the fight and started saying what happened to her before the deformed boy came so if they didn't make it out alive, the police, and her dad would know what happened to them, and they could maybe identify who did it. Then as quickly as it began, the fight was over with a snap . . . The attacker's neck was snapped. Jayla later found out the boy's name was Richard Lewis. Then to Jayla's surprise, she started to fall in love with him, and the best part was, Richard was in love with her too.
