Izuku Midoriya was in Hatsume's Workshop because she had to use someone to test her babies on and Izuku being able to heal any injury, he volunteered to to be the test subject because he knows what Hatsume would do it anyone other than him would be the guinea pig. Either the gadget explodes and the person will get injured or Hatsume and the other person would be killed.
