Nico is attending morning check-up at a university in Dema when he comes face to face with his worst fear. The new prodigal son, the new Clancy, the new "Hero" of Dema.

Clancy was born with the ability to talk to the dead. He was destined to become a bishop and he attended Dema's most elite academy of magic, where Josh was a servant. Clancy has to learn how to manage his powers, make the voices of the ghosts go quiet when they're too much, and fulfil his destiny. Josh just wants to make money to help his sick father. Soon, Clancy falls in love with the pretty red haired servant, but relationships are forbidden for students like him. Especially with a servant. But when has he ever followed the rules? - - - This is a Clancybearer fic but I've put my own twist on it so it's not 100% lore accurate, but I'm really proud of this one and I really hope you guys like it! Young adults all over the United States start to go missing without a trace. Unfortunately for Eden Ainsley, Josh Dun, and Tyler Joseph, they are a few of the unlucky ones. Dema is led by 9 bishops and is a place many now call home. It seems as though everyone there is brainwashed and no one is questioning what is going on. This story is set in the DEMA setting created by Twenty One Pilots for their music albums. It's an alternate DEMA from the Clancy/Tyler version that explores what happens when Clancy never makes it out of DEMA in the first place.

"Where are we going?" I finally ask. "We head true east." Josh answers, his being very focused on getting away. Something tells me even when his legs are broken he'd still be running away from dema. I couldn't blame him, I would too.

Clancy is a Scribe within the walled city of Dema, a silent, gray place where everything is performed with efficiency and repetition. While he is proud to represent his district amongst the Scribes and relay the history of Dema for future generations, he begins to feel that there is something missing within the city that can only be found outside the walls. Risking everything to escape the perimeters, Clancy realizes that the ravines of Trench can be a dangerous place, especially with the canyon's labyrinthine pathways and the Bishops at his heels. Lianna Higgins and her odd trio of outcasts have been scouting Trench for the better part of three years, hoping to one day liberate the people of Dema themselves, even if it means risking their lives. When Lianna stumbles upon an escapee from Dema fate brings them and Lianna's crew to the Banditos, who themselves are devoted to usurping the Bishops and bring the walls of the gray city down. Lianna doesn't enjoy the Banditos' company - as a matter of fact, she despises their company - but she doesn't have anywhere else to go and the life of a timid young Scribe now rests like a heavy weight on her shoulders. The trial ahead will be hard and neither Clancy nor Lianna are eager to weigh the odds - but joining the Banditos and severing ties with Dema may be the only way for them to survive. Josh starts at a new school with his friend Mark, they happen to be in different classes. Josh's class is boring and annoying, but there's one kid who stands out. The emo kid. He doesn't say much, but josh can't get him out of his mind.

Ezedis' life couldn't be better ! They're a dedicated worker, a Premiere Citizen of Dema, and will even achieve the Glorious Gone in the near future ! Yet, there is this man. This curious man who's caught Ezedis' curiosity, and who could blow his life apart, or change it forever. "What a Good day !!" is a short story taking place in the Twenty One Pilots' narrative, knowing about it can be a useful tool to fully appreciate this story, but not necessary to understand it.
