Dema/Trench Lore, diving into everyday life in Trench with the Banditos, on their path to free Dema. Lita and the rest of the Banditos are led by the Torchbearer, Josh. Their mission is to liberate Dema from the Bishops, but they first need to figure out how to expand the rebellion within the city. In the meantime, the Banditos task themselves with helping more citizens escape the city and adjust to life in Trench. When mysterious letters are discovered throughout the city, some citizens begin to question their commitment to Vialism, and even the Bishops themselves. Nobody knows who this 'Clancy' person is, but the Torchbearer knows how valuable such an ally could be to their cause, and he's determined to get them on their side. *Authors note* This story follows the canon timeline as closely as I'm able, starting from just before HeavyDirtySoul and ending after the events of Levitate. If all goes well, there will be a sequel that delves into what the Banditos do during the SAI era and beyond. I've based several of my characters on real-life people, as well as borrowed some names. Lita is based on Debby Ryan, and Hadley is based on Jenna Joseph. I changed their names for creative reasons, but I didn't want there to be any confusion about who they are meant to be. A preview for the unnamed Dema fanfic I will be writing this summer to celebrate Blurryface's fifth birthday.

A family separated by the walls of the city, and a Bishop whose loyalty lay not with Dema, but the Banditos. Keons must choose a successor, Sam. she assumes the role as Bishop in Keons's place. When she discovers her father is the leader of the Banditos, it's only a matter of time before the city crumbles; she doesn't realize that as the city loses strength, so does the Bishops. By destroying Dema, she might just destroy herself. #1 in Bandito from June 7th through August 12th #1 in Trench from July 5th through 7th

Welcome to Trench. In the lowest reaches of a barren world of grey and neon, there is a city called Dema, surrounded by walls and controlled by nine Bishops. There, children and adults of all ages are taught to perform with efficiency and obedience. There is no way out - but why would they want to leave? They have shelter, food, clothes, and most importantly, consistency. Two young men dream of something outside of Dema. They are forced to keep quiet about their dreams and dim the light in their eyes, for if they are caught with thoughts like these, they will surely be published. It would be easier to stay and conform, like everyone else. No one in Dema had ever attempting to climb the wall before. No one had ever questioned what was on the other side of it-- there was nothing. The Bishops taught them that early on. But Simon and his friend come to a different conclusion. After finding out about "the other world" and are determined to find answers-- and answers come through a man named Tyler.

Tyler and Josh have disappeared from trench, and Dema have won leaving the banditos in a state of panic, shock and disarray, all bar one. Zenith decides to take matters into their own hands and find their missing leaders and connect the missing dots, but all she has to go on is one message. Clancy is dead.... This was going to be a mission no bandito has ever been on. It was up to zenith now to uncover the clues through dangerous and new unknown territory's. Fearing the new dangers that could be coming her way. But what could possibly be worse than Dema? Each symbol by the chapter is an acronym. Something small and simple, but fun to figure out and a way to be more involved with the story. You can figure it all out along side zenith. But you control the story. This story is set in the DEMA setting created by Twenty One Pilots for their music albums. It's an alternate DEMA from the Clancy/Tyler version that explores what happens when Clancy never makes it out of DEMA in the first place.

Things go slightly arye when Tyler Joseph is kidnapped by a secret organization called Dema. Josh sets out to find him and ends up in the trench with the banditos. Will Josh and Tyler reunite? Why did Dema kidnap Tyler?

June lives the typical life of a citizen in DEMA. She follows the rules, just getting by. She never steps out of line in fear of the Bishops, just like everyone else. One fateful night changes that all and sends June down a path she never thought she would choose. She's damaged and has her walls up, but has to learn to adapt to a new kind of life in the confines of the city. ----------------------- Prequel to my other book - The Banditos A Twenty One Pilots inspired AU.
