Okay, I'm putting Will and Nico in the same grade. For a few reasons. Mainly plot and simplicity. We know Nico's birthday is January 28. And we don't know when Will's birthday is. But I think he turns 16 between the hidden oracle and tower of Nero? Idk I haven't finished TOA yet. Either way, they'd be a year diffrent in September but... I don't really have any justification actually. Oh well? Will hasn't been to school since he started camp around his early teen years (probably. He gets to camp at 10 canon). And Nico... Yeah. Anyways. In one hypothetical year, they both decide to not stay at camp for all year, and go to a Mortal high school. Will tells Kayla to call for anything. So the Rune Series by Caroline Klidonas on TT/YT/IG has had me in a chokehold since Halloween, and I... might have gone a little bit overboard. It doesn't help at all that I couldn't find any other fanfiction on this, despite looking. Technically what I did was novelize both existing video series and THEN keep going with the storyline because I needed it finished and also some of the lore deepened/plot holes fixed, but then I got self-conscious that posting the first two would be seen as too close to plagiarism, so y'all get the last two installments first, and if this blows up I might be persuaded to post the rest. Credit for a good portion of the characters and the original storyline all go to Caroline, and I highly recommend tracking down the original series first if you haven't already. Questions, comments, and constructive criticism are all entirely welcome, but mostly I just hope you all enjoy this world as much as I do!
