A political fantasy

Something has happened recently in the state where I live, something so bad that it's difficult to believe it's real. I have a lot of personal connections with the city it's happened to, and some slight connections with the person responsible. After watching this disaster unfold over the last few months, and feeling heartbroken and helpless, I finally decided I had to write down my feelings about it.

In a world where the USA split into a communist east backed by communist superpowers, and a democratic west only backed up by democratic nations, war-torn from their own fights. The hope for a democratic world is dwindling. Will the west be able to unite the world, or will the east crush those they oppose, and become a global superpower? REMEMBER this is just a draft and is in no way finished.
