Derek Shepherd (38) is the arrogant, workaholic Head of Neurosurgery at Seattle Grace. Derek has always cared more about his reputation in the surgery world more than anything else, other than his family. Derek avoids committed relationships, having no interest in finding something serious as it would affect his work and reputation. Although he has a good reputation in the surgery world, inside the hospital people try to avoid him at all costs. What happens when a young intern catches Derek's attention and makes him reconsider everything. The problem is, she doesn't seem interested in the angry and intimidating head of neuro, not to mention the fact that he is her boss.

this is a Grey's anatomy fan fic, that is based on the occurrences after season 2 episode 6 when Derek chooses Addison over Meredith, but there is a big what if in this story. you will have to read to find out what happens between the Grey's cast. all credit goes mainly to Shonda Rhimes.
