Clayton King was given everything he could have ever asked for in life. Not even for a moment did his parents let their only son go without the best of all things materialistic and they would tell you they loved their son unconditionally. However, that wasn't the problem. Clayton had always felt like something was missing in his life, he didn't know why he was unhappy when nothing was inherently wrong with him or how he was treated. However, things become clear after the family moves to Hawkins, Indiana. Clayton comes to realise some things about himself and, in turn, learns some things about his parents, too. He realises what had been missing and why everything felt just a little bit off from what he was made to believe. And when all his feelings become clear, the boy's only escape is the forest behind his house where he meets a boy a year younger than him: Will Byers. Their relationship starts off slow -coincidental meetings and short conversations- but, with the boy, came trouble. Something much more sinister than Clayton could have ever imagined, and to make the situation even more dangerous, Will's friends refuse to let the older boy in on the know. So with only his sixth sense, Clayton has to navigate his friendship, his social life and his family all the while avoiding trouble by a hair's width.
