Harper Foxworth, a bright 21 year old young woman, works at the local dentist office in the small town of Verity as a dental hygienist. She lives with her mom and Veteran dad, and helps with her younger siblings as much as she can. Harper loves how alive her younger siblings remind her to be; being an adult can quickly become routine, doing the same thing every day. Even so, Harper is unsure of what her future holds. An Air Force base is situated just outside of town, and they periodically request the services of the local healthcare places (vision/dental), to do checkups on the enlisted. One such events leads to Harper meeting Liam. He catches her eye just as much as she catches his. Liam Fletcher, a daring 22 year old young man, entered into the Armed Forces about a year and a half ago, after he was faced with the tragedies of an unfocused life. Deciding to change his trajectory, he chose to enlist into the United States Military for six years. He wasn't exactly sure what to expect from enlisting, but he knew it would dramatically change his life and possibly even bring him to find whatever it was he was looking for in his soul. Could Harper be a part of what he was looking for?

The stress of her dad, her hero, is beginning to keep Micky from sleeping at night. She lays in bed imagining everything that could go wrong. When she seeks information from her local Army Community Service Center, she is told there is nothing for teens. No workbooks. No deployment journals for teens. No classes. Nothing! That is when Micky gets an idea. Micky sets a goal for herself. She will not only pass all her classes but also create a Guide for Military teens that highlight what she and her friends have gone through being a teen with a parent gone. She has no earthly clue how she is going to do it, or even where to start, but one thing is for sure, there is nothing in heaven or on earth that will keep Micky from doing this project and getting it published. If not for her then for every teenager out there who has been in her shoes and felt so alone!

What is hope? By dictionary definition it is: 1. to look forward to with confidence or expectation, or 2. to believe or desire. I believe that hope is never giving up and always looking towards the future with, well, hope. I really need to remember that.
