When you're a teenager, a young adult, a student, nothing is easy. Everything is difficult, hurtful, unbearable. Life is threatening, death tempting. The everyday struggle is no longer a fight to be the best of oneself but rather that of being. Despair becomes a family name where all horizons darken, where hope fades and life withers. Courage becomes like an ultrasound to the human ear, elusive. We let ourselves be carried away by the tide, try to hold on to a few rocks here and there but the strength of the current seems infallible; And, little by little, we let ourselves go. We no longer fight; we no longer struggle. We float on the sea of our mistakes, our past, our demons, we become one with our iniquities. This is the diary of a desperate teenager.
