When Mike's mental health isn't as good as everyone thought it was. It is set in Season 4 if the Byers went back to Hawkins at some point. TW: Blood, SH, Suicide attempt, Panic attacks.

Mike goes in heavy agony after he found out his Best Friend has died. Receiving the news gave him no spark in life, he struggles everyday with deep depression. Struggling to even cooperate, mike slowly looses himself. Not a single thing in life kept him happy like how his lover did. Will he be able to find his light again or will he follow it to a new light in death?

After Hawkins' greatest tragedy and triumph, Mike Wheeler is left alone in a pool of his own guilt and sorrow while the others in the party move on to a new life. Eleven's death and his role in it causes Mike severe mental pain. Meanwhile, Will goes to college in Milwaukee where he's made new friends, a boyfriend, and found peace yet never forgot about Mike. But when he visits Hawkins, he spends his time helping Mike become who he truly is. This story incorporates tough situations and traumatic statements. And more importantly...love.

After the events of 1983, Mike struggles to get back to normal. He begins to suffer from depression and anxiety. But when El returns he finds some light. But it doesn't last forever.
