Their minds from overthinking. Their hearts from grief. Their wounds from bleeding. They thought that after that, they would be okay. That they wouldn't be hurt. They wouldn't be forced. They wouldn't be subject to their control. But that didn't seem to work. They were still being hurt. They were still being forced. And they were still being governed by the same people. What was freedom? What was life? What was death? Who was good? Who was bad? Who stands in the unintelligible "gray area"? What was friendship? What was family? What was love? Did any of it matter?
