Emily de Jong en Kaj van der Voort zijn vrienden sinds het begin. Ze komen samen uit Luik, en leven naast elkaar, en hebben nog nooit een dag niet tegen elkaar gepraat. Ze zijn altijd al onafscheidelijk geweest, op school, in de buurt etc. Treintickets zijn te duur voor Emily's ouders om te betalen, dus ze moest in Luik blijven terwijl Kaj z'n dromen achterna ging. Een deel van haar wilt dat hij beroemd wordt, en z'n dromen achterna gaat, maar een deel van haar wilt ook dat hij terugkomt naar haar. Wanneer Kaj haar opeens niet meer belt en sms't, voelt ze zich compleet genegeerd. Hoe gaat ze hiermee om? Zal ze hem achterna gaan? Zal ze meer gevoelens voor hem krijgen nu hij weg gaat.
