What separates him from the other rich boys is that he is far from good looking. Derik was born with a facial deformity and lives alone with a few servants. Destinies entwined... What happens when the home Derik isolates himself in is across the street from a musical theatre? What happens when Rosabella-Luna explores the abandoned mansion across the street? Friendship, love, and more lie within. What happens when the fates of A Rose and A Phantom are forever combined?

Derik Is assigned to a town far north and soon meets a mysterious man, clad in White fur. With many questions and suspicions in mind he sets out to find out more about this stranger. But comes up with nothing, which intrigues him further. Then a series of murders occurs in the city, all connected in many ways. Some blame him and some blame the man known as The White Bear. But who is the serial killer, and why is he killing?

He was no poet that is a fact. He tried though; he made the effort to win me over every day of our two year relationship. One letter he wrote was “I love you more than my mother… don’t tell her I said that.” I laughed at this one all throughout the day. As all the memories of the letters rushed into my mind the tears began to fall in the corner of my lifeless eyes as I realized I would never again receive a letter so trivial and meaningful ever again.
