Cale looked nothing like the boy they remembered. Months in the holy water had remade him into something unreal-something sacred. His hair, once short and ordinary, now spilled around him in a waterfall of blood-red silk, drifting all the way to his ankles. Even dry, it shimmered faintly, as if the light inside the holy water had woven itself into every strand. His skin was pale, almost translucent, with thin golden veins of light glowing softly beneath the surface, tracing over his collarbone and down his wrists like delicate divine markings. Every slow inhale made the light pulse gently, as though a second heartbeat rested beneath his ribs. And his eyes- rose-gold, glowing weakly but undeniably holy- opened and closed with the weary grace of someone pulled back from a long, deep sleep. There was no aggression in them, no confusion, only quiet exhaustion and a strange, soft clarity. Even weakened, even trembling, he radiated a warmth that wrapped around the room like a protective blessing. The air felt lighter, calmer, as though standing too close to him meant being forgiven for something you didn't remember doing. Cale Henituse looked like a saint who had been carved from morning light and red dawn. And he had just woken up.

Kim Rok Soo woke up in an unfamiliar room. A quick glance around him told him that he was no longer in his own world. The room was far too elegant and noble. He got up from the very soft bed where he had been lying. Once seated on the mattress, his gaze fell on a mirror a little further away. His reflection was strange: his usual black hair had turned red, all his muscles seemed to have melted away, and his skin was as pale as a sheet. This sight reminded him of the description of one of the characters in a novel he had read not long ago. Yes, he had become Cale Henituse, an side villain and a character in the novel "The Birth of a Hero." He got up from the very soft bed he was lying on. Once seated on the mattress, his gaze fell on a mirror a little further away.He ran his hand through his hair and ruffled it. Before looking up at the white ceiling with weariness, why always him? Wasn't his life hard enough already? He had barely found a semblance of normality on earth. He sighed before frowning in confusion ---- English is not my mother tongue, this story may contain errors.

Naturally, to make his life even more complex than it already is, obviously with another individual's help. ---------------------------------------------------- A/N You know it's a chaotic mess when you're writing a story that you haven't actually been updating, then show up with another story that has a vast difference with the first story you have written. seriously I am annoyed with myself for doing this kind of thing again. As cliche as it is, I got inspired by making this story about my beloved Ogcale, don't get me wrong I love KRS/CALE but I would love to see another redemption arc for our Ogcale😭😭 his screentime in the novel was to little and I did love to know that he is happy in the current world....but you know.... It was a normal day for Kim rok soo, as normal as a day in an apocalyptic world could be, the only difference was that instead of being holed up in his office, as usual, drowning in seemingly never-ending piles of documents, he was having his first day off in years spent reading an interesting novel he accidentally came across while browsing through the library, so with no other ideas on how to use his free time he decided to borrow the whole series. However, halfway through the fifth volume, he couldn't help feeling drowsy, nevertheless, he still heard the voice whispering in sadness but with a hint of anticipation from the deepest parts of his head, " Finally, it is time, I was waiting for you, my child ". ' who is...'. Unfortunately, before he could even complete his thought his world turned dark and he blacked out. Everything except for the fanfic belongs to their rightful owners, I am just bored and there is a lack of my favorite ship so here we are. Please keep in mind that this is the first time in my life that I wrote fanfic or anything for that matter, so please endure and don't barf.
