Issa Jamilla Arkachi is a girl who only wants to be loved. She wants to experience the fairness in life. Everyone hates her for being different from them. Everyone seems to despise her because of her being black because for other people having a black skin is a shame. Issa used to feel shameful about herself being black until she met Adwin Abiola a white boy who never treated her the same way as those who hated her. Adwin is the only person who showed her the worth in her, may it be her appearance or the good inside of her. She just finally found the love and acceptance that she yearned for, but thinking that a black person like her is receiving affection from a white person like Adwin she started to push him away, rejecting the goodness he is giving to her, because she believes that she doesn't deserve him and she will never deserved him since she is just a black person. Will she let herself draw closer to him and express what her heart truly felt? Or continue on convincing herself that no matter how hard she try, no matter how hard she work for it, she will never earn the happiness that she yearns for because in this world full of judgeful eyes a black girl like her will never be able to stand on the side of the white boy that she loves.
