Nineteen year old Sam Ophelia Blanchet grew up in the rougher parts of Ellis. After her childhood best friend, Eli DuPont left for an eight year trip, she grew quite lonely. Life hadn't been easy on Sam after Eli leaving and she used hikes to channel the negative emotions she faced.

This is just a short story I wrote. I got the idea from a writing prompt off Reddit (see link below) I was seeing some short stories but I wanted to add a little more body to it, and I just kinda went with it. The massive pyramid that stands in front of me is one of the most, if not the most famous pyramid ever. Once I lay my eyes on the breathtaking structure, it's not hard to see why it was deemed one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. ----- A writing piece I did for my Advanced Language Arts class as a descriptice writing project.
