The city of Mariead was an oasis in the middle of the desert. The Royal family had watched over it for centuries, until now. The 11 year old princess, Eile, has been kidnapped by Rogues, leaving the kingdom in chaos. Her brother, the 17 year old crown prince Declan, leads the searches, haunted by the death of his mother. A big advantage to setting a sci-fi world in a desert is that it's easy to conceptualize, compared to a geographically and culturally diverse world like Earth. That's not to say you can't include diversity, but DesertPunk strives to make the most of little, with technology tailor-made for such harsh conditions.
