Sometimes being a celebrity isn't much of a reward as you might think, and for Austen that's especially true.

I wake up, Finding my hands tied behind my back and strapped in a chair. I tug on the ropes attempting to wriggle out of them, But no luck. Where am I... I look around and see myself in a pitch black room and a light shining down on me. A strange man walks towards me, I speak through my gritted teeth, " It must have took you a lot of strength to put me in this humiliating position. " The man chuckles and pulls up a chair in front of me, I can only see the highlights of his face. " Do you know why you're here? " He questions. I shake my head in humiliation. " You are part of a clan. A vampire clan. And we are grouped up with a bunch of other supernatural clans. We have chosen you because you have guts. You have guts to challenge me in combat, but as a silly mortal you didn't know what you were up against. " I laugh in response. " Silly mortal. Oh really? I can beat up twice the man you are. " He rubs his forehead with frustration. " I am a vampire, do I have to go into detail? No. I think not. " I smirk, He gets up off his chair and cuts the ropes loose. I stand and stretch. " No sence in running right? " I clarify. He shakes his head. " No. "

Have you ever felt so attracted to someone that you craved for there lips, for their skin, and for their touch? That's how he made me feel. I couldn't get enough of him and I was going to have him, at any cost.

It has been over a year since I suffered a concussion playing the sport that I love so much. At the age of 17, I received my first "real" injury from playing volleyball. After my symptoms failed to subside, I visited one of the newest doctors in town. I do not want to say that it was "love at first sight", however, it was definitely a crush at first sight. From the moment I laid eyes on him, the crush was essentially inevitable. At this point, you are probably wondering who my crush is. He is my family doctor and he is one of the most adorable men I have ever met. When anyone mentions doctor, some people just assume that it is someone really old. Dr. Khaki is older than me, yes, but he is not old in the sense of age. Joey is in his mid-30s and wears eye glasses better than any human I have ever come cross. He is smart, intelligent, funny, awkward, intimidating, weird (but in a good way), caring, compassionate, and oh, did I already mention that he is super cute. All of the aforementioned descriptive details about Dr. Khaki were on full display during my concussion appointment. Fast forward to present time, over a year later. As if being my doctor and being a little older than me was not enough to assure me that this crush was completely unattainable, Dr. Khaki is happily married with three beautiful children. This crush has lasted well-beyond the brief and short period and I have plenty of reasons to essentially not have this crush. It begs the question, why do I still feel this way?
