My following words of yore and spite may shock you to the very core. They acknowledge a fact known to few, and even less, known to heart. But please, by the whim of mind and patience of soul, I beseech you to listen all the clear. Tolkien's tale of Middle Earth has fallen from its original translation. His story of Thorin Oakenshield's company once bore truth, but fate was reconstructed in light of a prophecy: The girl born of flame, fostered by the dwarves, royal in her name, and her child's birth. She is the one and only protector of Middle Earth, guardian over Mordor, savior of our royal dwarf. Her knowledge will be countered by family's unknown survival, though fate will turn it right as in sacrifice of her royal line. It isn't just a story, but the Valar's greatest mistake; let the heavens toll loud to save Durin's sons After the war of the ring and the destruction of Sauron, the Valar decided to repeat the past, starting at the union of the company within a small hobbit hole in the typically quiet Shire. Why, you may ask, did they decide to do this? Originally, the Valar had ignored the prophecy stated above (as they had done in the past), allowing the Durin line to be exterminated by the Pale Orc, Azog. However, the reign of Dain and his heirs as they took Erebor's throne turned out to be heartless and cruel, unlike the intended fate of Erebor foretold. Therefore, the Valar decided to turn back the clock, 60 years, giving Gandalf the idea to invite the "girl of fire" to the meeting in Hobbiton. Indeed, this did bring about the intended fate of the Lonely Mountain as well as infinite happiness to the company of heroic dwarves. This is her story, as she sacrificed her line in saving Durin. Like the dwarves, Mithrellas feels the sting of Smaug's attack all those years ago. Unlike them, she's not so eager to venture to the Lonely Mountain. She's haunted by what the dragon took from her and afraid of what the quest could make her lose. Knowing she needs to overcome her past, Gandalf brings along the elven ranger to help guide the company back to Erebor. Maybe Mithrellas will discover some things she's long forgotten along the way. ~~~}•{~~~ While I am incorporating events from the movies, I'm def keeping some of the elements from the beloved book. The last thing which Bard ever imagined was to find an unconscious form in the icy waters which surrounded Lake Town. Saving her life was the right thing to do, by any standards. But with saving her comes the consequences of smuggling, secrecy, trouble.

A reader/smaug fanfic. You are captured by the one and only, Smaug. As a skin changer of a phoniex, you are able to fight with his flames, but his size and power is too great. He also threatens to kill the dwarves and Bilbo if you try to escape. You are forced to stay and accompany him with stories and games for days until the dwarves start to move.
