two siblings get taken from each other after their father made a deal with a very very bad man. after a crazy rollercoaster of events they have to somehow find they place in the world, though of course that's easier said than done when they are actively being hunted down. She was a teenager when they took her, him on the other hand was just a child, they took tests and did experiments for years. the children seemed to have understood what was going on, in hydras eyes.
