It's a new school year for the students of the boarding school Hope's Peak Academy. The school starts out normally for everyone in it, until it becomes known that a pandemic called the Despair Disease is making its way through Asia and is coming towards Japan. They ignore it until Despair makes it to Japan and causes the school and everything to lockdown. Hope's Peak then, like every other school switches from in person to online instruction. A mysterious illness spreads across the island, leaving despair in its wake. Hajime finds himself caring for Nagito, whose fever and delirium twist his personality into cruel, unrecognizable words. But beneath the fevered lies, hidden confessions linger - love, fear, and hope struggling to survive. As the Despair Disease threatens to claim Nagito's life, Hajime must navigate fevered truths, dangerous cures, and fragile recovery. In the aftermath, when words are forgotten and confessions lost, the two must confront the silent truths left between them - the truths that survive even when hope lies. A dark, slow-burn story of illness, despair, and love that survives beyond words.

With Akane and Ibuki coming down with the Despair Disease, Hajime plans to take care of them along with Mikan and Fuyuhiko. When they realize he had caught it as well, no one has an explanation for the finished product. Hajime Despair Disease AU/Izuru transformation slow burn.

"This is really strange" I said While sitting on a table in one of the classrooms, we are hiding from the rest of the students. Kokichi turned to face me followed by a nod " yeah very" he said with a little smile. I impulsively blurted out "God you're adorable " and felt my cheeks start to heat up as I said that and I could see a hint of red on kokichi's face too. 'god how can he even be this adorable!? , this fever is really taking a toll on me huh?' I laughed to myself in my head before facing kokichi again. --------------- Monokuma was mad there were no killing after kaedes execution and the shippers of the audience were wilding so he thought of a motive of choosing two 'random' students to affect ------- Kokichi and shuichi get the despair disease, how would the disease affect the two boys and their secret love for eachother? Henlo! This is a little one-shot I really wanted to write about Komaeda and the liar disease he gets on chapter 3. Yes, this is a Komahina, please don't read it if you don't support this ship! Komaeda helps Mikan and Fuyuhiko take care of all the infected at the hospital, and lots of fluff happens. This is mostly me trying to figure out how to write these character's dynamics, so bear with me! (heh)
