In the far off year of 3010, after humans are no longer the top of the food chain Dragons roam free in their country of Hael. Divided by Yards, brought together by the Mauling. Who will be drafted? Who is Desta? And who will survive this years Mauling?

An unsuspecting love, an unprolific writer, and a wedding invitation. 27 year old New York publishing agent, Desta Hart, has always carried the preconceived idea of love close by, although half the time she ends up debating its existence. Yet, she's always lived by the motto, "it doesn't hurt to keep dreaming." She's in search of "the one;" someone who not only would supposedly sweep her off her feet, but would finally put her parents notion of finding someone for her to rest. So, when she's invited to the wedding of an old friend, and forced by her mother to go, she goes alone, breaking the one rule that she's had for herself since day one; don't go to a wedding without a date. Desta sure as hell did not expect to find everything she had ever wanted since she was a child to be waiting there for her, but this one wedding changes her life and her idea of love forever.

Was Amelia really sure that she hadn't seen him before? The man groaned and shifted. I jumped back onto my feet and backed away, pushing the thought of familiarity out of my mind. "He's waking up," Amelia said, stating the obvious. She turned to me. "I have a plan, but I don't have time to explain. Just follow my lead. "Eleven hundred and three!" Amy breathed. "You were nine hundred and eight the last time we saw you. And what does that make you, Cat? Over a hundred by now!" "Two hundred twenty one, actually!" She said with a laugh. "I can hardly believe it!" Amy peered over Catherine's shoulder, her attention grabbed by something else. "Who's that?" She wondered. Catherine looked around, and saw the figure, and though it looked familiar, she didn't mention it. She turned back around. "Who's who?" Amy looked back at Catherine and her worry cleared. "Sorry, what?" "What did you see? You said you saw something." Amy shook her head with a frown. "No I didn't." "Ah, the moon," the Doctor said, turning and laying on his back, his head on Catherine's lap. She laughed and pushed it off gently. He laughed as well. Amy gazed at them again, wondering what happened for one hundred and ninety five years on that TARDIS. ~ Catherine's story wasn't done. Actually, it's far from over. When two blue envelopes with purple stickers appear on the TARDIS doorstep, both the Doctor and the Destroyer know that a war is about to start, and no amount of running will stop what is coming.
