Destery Smith has loved his best friend Nate for as long as he can remember, but there’s just a few problems with that. Nate is straighter than a pole and though he isn't homophobic, he makes it clear that the idea of dating a guy repulses him. He makes it quite known that he could never date a friend, let alone his best friend. So what does Destery do? The most logical thing he can think of: pretend that he doesn't love Nate. Then Nathan had to mess it all up by getting a girlfriend. Suddenly, pretending doesn't seem as easy as it once did. Now, not only does Destery have to deal with hiding his love for Nathan, he has to deal with his newfound jealousy, something that proves to be much harder than he ever imagined it would be. In a fit of jealous rage, Destery let's his feelings slip and he kisses Nathan. To say that Nathan gets pissed is an understatement. Destery loses the thing that means the most to him in a matter of seconds, or so he thinks...
