It's been 3 years since the last matchup of Traviere as well as Mario and Meggy's wedding. SY35, now Octoling and spends more time with the United States Government, has been thinking about stepping down as the leader for his family. Meanwhile, Martin's portal is stolen by a mysterious sorcerer named Cortex, and it opens the door to different dimensions where SMG3 and other enemies are pulled out.

The events that roam within this story happen 6 months after the events of Journey of the Firebird. Peace has twinkled all over the universe for many months now ever since the inevitable defeat of the demon known as Fodra. Of course, everyone else has been busy with their adversaries, but they are taken care of as always. It has not been different with Phoenix since his first arrival. After many hard, and brutal encounters with some of the most despicable entities, Phoenix has kept his universe safe and secure. Along the way, he has married his close girlfriend Desti, made friends with the Multiversal Heroes, formed a faction known as The Wonders of Reality, and grown to be a better, stronger, and more defined warrior to the point where he is at the level of the gods. However, that all took a turn as he, Desti, his best friend/brother figure Kalen, and Diamond left with the Grand Priest to train to prepare for the inevitable threat of all of reality. Signs of the threat have appeared throughout Phoenix's journey, and now that they have a clear picture of the Darkness's return, the trigger is pulled to build up Phoenix, the chosen figure of managing the Omniverse and his friends. Fast forwarding to now, Aster, Phoenix's biological twin, and Cerak have been moving forward with the plan to resurrect Chaos as they bestow terror upon specific universes such as Aeris's and Paximus. The heroes throughout space have gathered together to attempt to oppose the new leader of Paximus along with Aeris, but their attempt goes nowhere... Or have they?
