My take on reviving Axol and Desti. While I'm sure there's plenty of other theories out there, I decided to incorporate something into it that I don't think a lot of people would have thought about: the Phoenix egg from Sunset Paradise. Disclaimer: This is a sequel to "Smg4 Alternative: New Year... New Mario", so if you haven't read that story yet, I suggest you read that one before reading this. Thanks. This is it... The day has finally come... The very last Splatfest ever is here and everyone is hyped up to win it, especially a certain orange Inkling and fusha Octoling. Both Meggy and Desti have been rivals for nearly two years now, both wanting to win the Splatfest so badly, and this year is the last year to accomplish that... However, their motive is now slightly different... Luigi, their dear friend who's life was lost at the battle on anime island, will be dedicated by whoever wins out of the two, and Mario, being the one who is most hurt by this alongside Saiko, is most serious to win the Splatfest now than ever... but what will happen if a certain uncalled for turn of events happens that could change this whole ordeal into a very serious matter...? Will Mario's traumatic experience come back to haunt and hinder his chances to focus? Will it be Meggy's team who walks away with the trophy, or will it be Desti's team? Find out... now...

After SMG3's banishment to the internet graveyard, the next few events were favorable for the cast members. With Desti having survived Francis' genocidal scheme, and Meggy remaining as an inkling, the future looked bright for the gang... Up until the curtains began to unveil, as a great evil from the past returns to plague the kingdom once more, seeking to finish what it has started. After leaving his sister and mother to the surviving population in Inkopolis, Desti, Agent 3 and Agent 101 went off to find the person or thing to bring back everyone else, but he's more hoping for Meggy back first

My attempt at a more dramatic and gripping rewrite of Desti's final goodbye to Meggy before she departs to the next life at the end of Meggy's Destiny by SMG4. Don't get me wrong, Desti's small but decent character arc and eventual death, and how Meggy was affected by it, was probably the few mature and saving graces of SMG4's writing in the past few years, but I just wanted to see if I could make it more emotionally impacting then what she got in the last few minutes of the movie because I get off on making stupid things sad. Also I know the rating says all rights reserved but obviously I don't own SMG4 or his characters. Hell, SMG4 doesn't own most of his characters.
