Dean was just raised from perdition (Hell), he didnt know why he was saved but he was. He later met Castiel, who told him the reasons why he was saved. Dean hated Castiel, because why would he, or any angel let bad things happen to good people. He never had any faith in angels or god. Dean and Castiel start being friends, and later on down the line, Dean starts to develop feelings for Castiel but pushes them down because his father always taught him a man should not be with a man and a woman should not be with a woman

A Monday morning, I hop, and pancakes pass by, and Cas realizes. He is in love with Dean Winchester. ((there's more to it but it's not done yet so no spoilers for you.))

Castiel, the fallen angel now has to learn how to navigate human life. He struggles with hunger, emotions, thirst, and much more. All he has now is Sam and Dean. He must find a new purpose for living. With the help of Dean will he learn how to be human and handle his new heighten emotions or will the change break him?

Ever since he was raised from Hell by his Guardian Angel, Castiel, all sorts of bad things have happened to all of them. And Dean worries more and more about Sam and Castiel everyday.
