Hope is a fragile thing, especially when humanity faces extinction for a second time. The Traveler, humanity's last hope, has been dormant for 16 centuries. The servants of the Darkness continue to grow in numbers. The Guardians, the protectors of the Last Safe City on Earth, are fighting losing wars against the Fallen, Hive, Vex, and Cabal. Even they are in need of a miracle. When a recently resurrected Warlock joins the Guardians in battle, many are skeptical at first. But what they don't realize is that this Warlock is their only hope remaining to fight the Darkness. His name is Max Prodigy, and this is his story.

Max Prodigy is finally awake; his past memories have been restored and he realizes his true potential as The Warlock. But his teammates aren't so sure: Cass thinks he's breaking the law as an uncontrollable monster, while Jess, Kaden, and Shin wants him to be his honest self. To make matters worse, the City and its Guardians are dividing themselves over political power and how to use it. On the Hive Dreadnought, Oryx heard his son's last words before his untimely death at the hands of Max Prodigy. With anger and hatred fueling his Sword, Ecthar the Willbreaker, and a mindless Taken army at his beckoned call, the newly appointed Taken King marches to avenge his son and bring about a new universe under his rule. An alt-right group known as the Concordat is scared of Max Prodigy's awakening. In response, Lysander has awakened an ancient project known as SIVA from the bowels of the Cosmodrome. The project has spread itself into every corner of Old Russia, threatening to overtake the world, with Lysander at the throne. And underneath all of that, darker plots unfold as an old Cabal Legion begins to rise from his ashes. Max must keep the City united through its perils, but will he have the strength to do what's right, again?

This is a new Numberblocks x Mixels AU (along with a cameo of a very early original design of Z from Alphablocks) where Original One, The Painted Nixels, and Original Two finds a wish-making device that they used to make a portal to Mixel Land from 2014. Also, I am talking about the original designs of One, Two, & Z when I mention them with or without saying "Original" in their names, so keep note of that. BTW, I don't own Mixels, Numberblocks, or any of the characters that are mentioned (except the Wish-To-Reality Device, Chill & Citrus maybe, & The Waiting Room). Also, if you use all of this universe's stuff, at least give credit & I'll let you call it "Destiny!AU" if you like! Note: this takes place before Nixie became the Electroids' pet. Also, there will be spoilers for a specific Mixels episode, so read that chunk of chapter 2 at your own risk...

They've worked together for quite some time, and are famous for their skills, as well as their vast amount of triumphs against the Cabal, Vex, Hive, Fallen, and Taken. But how did this incredible team of Guardians form? Perhaps the Speaker knows...
