A dystopian story in which people have unnatural powers Lorelai Walters can't remember much of her past. She's always lived on the streets, she never knew home. Then one day, some soldiers turn up in a shopping center where she's staying for the night. They take her to a place where more teenagers live. It's nothing like a home. There, they have to train, though nobody knows what for. When Lorelai decides not to do what she's being told and take things in her own hands, she doesn't know what awaits her. As she tries to escape the people trying to use her-and many others-for their plans, for the first time, she gets the chance to find out what happened to this destroyed and abandoned world-and maybe also about her past. English isn't my first language, so I'd be happy to receive some criticism and also tips. I'd like to know if my story is interesting, so I know if I should go on and how to improve it :) I know, my writing isn't so good in the beginning, but I think it gets better throughout the story.

There was nothing but dirt, a dying habitat that would stretch out for as far as the eye could see. A dead and empty plain with no future in sight. There was 4 kingdoms of enchanters which would all work together. Each kingdom had its own specific type of magic. There was night, sun, water, and nature. Many years ago a water enchanter decided to experiment in the art of merging. The art of merging is the combining of ones specfic magic with another, this could be by means of spells, everyday magic or love. The enchanter was merging water and sun magic. His experiment was an extreme failure causing an enormous supanova to occur, killing himself, the entire water kingdom and many surrounding the area. This led to a severe drought as there was no water enchanters to maintain the water supply. In order to save their home the remaining kingdoms did their best to recover from the damage but where unable to due to the great amount of deaths. They made the decision to forbid the arts of merging forever. 30 years later, Princess Iris falls in love and tries to save her home.

Humanity and the earth are drawing to a close. A machine rules the world and controls people. Only Kuno can destroy the machine and save the earth from ultimate ruin. Years ago mutants roamed the world terrorizing humans and destroyed America and the world along with it. But humans stood their ground and captured all of them they were put into facilities where they were tested on and hid from the world. People were told to forget about them because they were no longer threats to the world. And most people did. Now generations later Rae a ten year old little girl with advanced mutant abilities escapes with the help of her mother. Her mother though didn't make it out with her... with only the information of the journal her mother had given her and the clothes on her back Rae is forced to survive alone in the forrest isolated from all civilization. Now eight years later on one of her supply runs to the nearby town a young man that goes by the name of Chase spots her, he follows her to a fruit orchard where the meet for the first time. He reveals that he is like her with the fact that they are both mutants. Rae having never been able to interact with anyone other than her mother runs off afraid...but he follows...

Arson always had a taste for fire, the way it weaved a tale as old as time, the way it always left a smokey smell behind. Arson liked Fire, but never bombs. After all, bombs destroyed his perfect little world.
