Ezio has always been different, so different that people don’t believe that he’s related to his family. Even Ezio doubts that he’s their biological son. His grey hair and mismatched eyes turns others away. Also dealing with amnesia, he doesn’t remember much about his childhood. Ezio’s mind is often overwhelmed with vivid dreams, or more accurately, nightmares. He doesn’t confide in anyone about these “dreams” because he is afraid that he’ll be shipped off to an asylum, never to see the light of day again. His world is turned upside down when he receives a mysterious package containing several items, including a jigsaw puzzle. The next day at school, something unexpected happens. Ezio meets a girl named Violet and can’t help but feel intensely drawn to her. With her help, they solve the puzzle, but all it does is raise more unanswered questions. Will Ezio pick up the missing puzzle pieces and finally see the “big picture”? So now it is time to disassemble the parts of the jigsaw puzzle or to piece another one together, for I find that, having come to the end of my story, my life is just beginning. §Conrad Veidt§

Belle Newton has never done a wrong thing in her life. So why is she shipped from her warm, suburban house in England to the most heavily guarded prison for youth murderers, in America? Well, although it makes no sense to her, Belle has been asked (forced, really) to go undercover and befriend the infamous Augustus Black. To somehow discover the secret behind the 'beast within'. Perhaps persuade him to use his odd power for good? Or even just to discover whether he has breached the line of insanity or not. But Augustus doesn't appear to want to talk to her, let alone become good ol' buds. He is cold and harsh and seems more inclined to talk to the wall then to even look at Belle. However, after random spurts of emotion from the infamous criminal, she starts to doubt he really did murder everyone he's said to. Especially since she finds it increasingly harder to hate him and easier to watch his lips move when he talks. It doesn't particularly help that Augustus can't seem to keep his hands away from her either. Maybe Augustus isn't insane. Or maybe Augustus is completely and utterly deranged. But for some reason or another, she doesn't believe this beast inside of him is as bad as everyone is saying it is. And for some reason or another, he wants Belle more than she thought possible.
