The story follows Dev and Sonakshi in the ITV show Kuch Rang Pyaar ke Aise Bhi Season 3, after Sona's outburst regarding Dev's absence during Asha's death at the counselor's office. The lack of details regarding this significant event in their lives by the show's writers left me looking for an explanation on my own. This story will follow the canon track of his absence, but I want to consider more details, thus giving us fans a better clarity and understanding of the events.

Dev Dixit was always in love with the girl next door, Sonakshi Bose .When they were children,she hated his guts because he always used to tease her .When puberty hit sparks began to fly . Dev was 4 years older than her . 18 yr old Dev found himself getting attracted to 14 yrs cute bubbly Sonakshi who was best friend of his sister Riya and so they were always around each other and became friends. At that time she didn't understand his feelings,but at 24 when Dev came back from abroad completing his MBBS,sparks fly again and she was attracted towards him like moth is attracted towards fire. Ishwari Dixit always loved Sonakshi like her own child. She was very well aware of his feelings for Sonakshi,but never stopped him . They were in touch with each other ,Dev was already in love with Sonakshi,he always called her weekly even when he was abroad,he didn't want her to forget him . What will happen when they will meet each other after a long time. Will she realises her . Will the fire of love will continue to glow or their attraction will fly away like smoke. .
