God speaks to each of us individually. Sometimes it's a still small voice or a feeling deep in your heart or soul. Maybe it's a vision while you're sleeping, the words you read in a book, or the words spoken by a friend. You can hear God in many different ways. However, sometimes, even with all these amazing and unique ways we can hear God's voice, we doubt whether it's really Him. In this (hopefully somewhat) short study I did, I'm going to point out God's voice, why it's important to listen for it, and the two main voices (at least, that I've noticed) to try to obscure His. A VERY PRESENT HELP is a daily devotional for 365 days of the year. My goal is to share some daily encouragement through the word of God as you and I journey through life. The Psalmist declares "God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble." (Psalm 46:1) As we continue to lean on Him through the study of His word, we soon begin to recognise that there is nothing we experience that He was unaware of all the while. My prayer is that you too will take refuge under the shadow of His wings, for that is the only secure place before and during the storms of life.

I know this world may drain you at times, but he wants you to have a prayer life with him that is on fire. He wants you to know that he has you and he wants your whole heart. God wants to ignite your relationship with him. He wants a deep relationship with you and he wants you to be rooted in his love. He wants you to experience him in a new light. He wants you to stop beating yourself up in this season and to start grabbing tight to his hand. He wants to take you to greater levels and he is calling out for you to receive his mighty love. You may feel like you have a hunger to grow your relationship with God, but you feel stuck. We all face problems, but God wants to help you through them. You might feel like you don't have the right words to say to God, but he is looking for a heart cry. There are no perfect prayers you can pray, but I pray that each prayer in this book would help you grow your prayer life. God is looking for you to call out to him even if you feel like you don't know where to start. Remember, James 5:16 (NIV) states- Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. This prayer book has reflection points to help you think about your walk with God and how to get closer to him. The reflection points are at the bottom of each chapter. You can answer them during your quiet time with God or even after you read the chapter. God knows what you are facing and your prayers aren't hitting the ceiling. They are going right to his ears.
