Red Diamond was the better version of Pink. The original color of that Pink was meant to be but now she has passed, she is the closest thing Steven has to his mom

Seven gems, each from Homeworld, all escape due to a false alarm set off by a rebellious gem ready to finally leave the planet. As each pod exits, they are all pulled in to a wonderful, lush, planet by the name of Hohm. It is here that they all discover a Diamond that was kept a secret from the rest of the world. Not because he was shattered, but because he was an off-colour. Follow the seven newcomers of the court of Champagne Diamond and their adventures to becoming their own gems.

There are not just four diamonds. No, there is another who stays in silence. She lingers out of the light, and stays out of sight. As she does not like the attention, but it seems she will always be mentioned. Second made and in the second right shade. She is Black Diamond and in the shadows she stayed. Ruler at first, but slowly immersed into the corners of darkness, on a planet that's starless, thought by many as heartless, And yet is quite the opposite. She who's kindness is infinite, and cares for all gems equal, is treated by the diamonds as deceitful. Though as Pink Diamond emerged, these dreadful emotions were purged, and happiness did fill her. Then when the war ended abruptly, and Pink was taken suddenly, her mourning consumed her being, and she ended up fleeing to her planet of black. There she is seen waiting, for what, her gems are always debating. She stares into the sky, with tears gleaming in her eye. Steven Universe is not mine.
