In this Steven Universe AU Steven was captured at a young age and raised as a Diamond. After an elaborate ruse on his 18th Birthday, he escapes to Earth, his home planet, only to find it to be more than hostile to his return.

The young diamond felt his heart stop as he realized Jasper wasn't reforming. No matter how many times he would plunge her shattered gem into the swirling colors in the bathtub, each time she came out broken. Steven really needs an escape from all this. He needs to run away- If the gems find out that he's a shatterer, everything will be ruined... so he grabbed his things... and bolted. he ran as fast as he could, frantic calls of the gems behind him not mattering at all in the moment. he catches a bus... .. right to Gravity Falls. ---------------- disclaimer!! this contains heavy topics! anyways have fun reading :))

Yeah, so I'm unsatisfied with how the first show ended, and while I love the movie, I want to make something more reasonable before the events of Steven Universe the Movie.
