Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is a serious mental disorder marked by a pattern of ongoing instability in moods, behavior, self-image, and functioning. Social Anxiety is the fear of interaction with other people that brings on self-consciousness, feelings of being negatively judged and evaluated, and, as a result, leads to avoidance. Camila has BPD and Lauren has Social Anxiety. Lauren loves Camila but is too shy to admit her feeling. Camila loves Lauren but is too worried about hurting her.

Camila and Lauren were childhood sweethearts until word of their relationship got out. Lauren offers to drive the girl home. The accident the two girls predictably get into leaves them both with a concussion, among other injuries. Camila, however, experiences the brunt of it all. Repressive Memory Syndrome leaves the girl with no recollection of the past few years of her life, including, most importantly, Lauren.
