Jackie Flint(they/them) and Rodrick Heffley(he/him?) had been friends ever since they had first moved into Plainview, all sarcasm, rock music, and rough edges since the very beginning. So naturally the two of them got along great and often worked as a team to torture Greg. Rodrick has an issue with his English grade, namely that he doesn't care about doing any of the work. When it threatens his ability to graduate that year, Susan steps in and threatens him with losing his van if he doesn't see a tutor. Reluctant as hell, he agrees. It goes much better than he thought it would. (Or... Rodrick gets a crush on his English tutor and has to deal with his bisexuality)
