Natural enemies forced together by unnatural means. Word count- 16,489 (Y/n) is a proud and free wolf, that is until hunters bring her close to death. She is saved by a wingless fairy with a thirst for revenge and her raven companion. (Y/n) is thrusted into this adventure with cursed princesses, pixies, and a strange feeling called love. A wolf and raven bond is a strange feeling. And even stranger as the bond develops into something more. Rewatched Maleficent recently and was reminded of how much I love Diaval. So I figured why not write this. This story with follow the first movie not sure yet if I'll do the second one, but most likely I will. Also the reader is based off an OC of mine so there will be some details for the reader. Also I wrote most of this in one sitting so yeah, didn't do much editing so sorry if there are extra mistakes, I try to catch them while writing. #1- diaval (4-21-21)

Maleficent and Diaval's future of the unexpected.

▪Based on the 2014 film Maleficent▪ "Let me tell you an old story anew and see how well you know it." Once upon a time, there was a young woman named Aurora, who was cursed to sleep for eternity by a dark Fairy named Maleficent. When Maleficent realized that the human woman had stolen what was left of her heart, she was able to awaken her using true love's kiss. Shortly afterward, Maleficent mysteriously becomes a sixteen year old girl again, and her feelings towards Aurora change from motherly to something neither of them were expecting... I do not own Maleficent or any of the characters and places. All rights belong to Disney. I only take credit for the plot.

[Maleficent x Diaval] A series of one-shots and drabbles featuring the cutest couple there is. In which Diaval accumulates a hoard of... things..., all of which mean something to him, and Maleficent watches bemused as his pile of clutter increases in both height and importance.

---Maleficent's earliest memory was waking up in a forest surrounded by trees, alone and confused. She knew that she had a mom and dad, but where were they now that Maleficent was alone? Maleficent had flickers of memories, of warmth and love, and someone comforting telling her that "Mommy loves you Meena even when it doesn't seem like it. I did it for your own good." Again and again, these memories swirled in her mind taunting her with the love and happiness she once had until it turned her cold and bitter. Unable to handle the waves of anger and despair that occurred when she thought of the name she had been given at birth, she decided to change it to something that would command power and respect. It was in that moment that Maleficent the powerful was born from the broken pieces of an abandoned child.---

With a BANG, Maleficent made a most dramatic entrance to Stefan's throne room. The only problem, how was she supposed to strike terror into the hearts of his royal court when his daughter was RIGHT THERE, looking up at her with such sweet, adoring eyes?

Right after Maleficent's curse, the three fairys had to take care of Aurora. Not that they were happy with that. It was a mess. That's until Freya stepped in. (Freya means goddess of love, beauty and sensuality in Norse mythology). She helped the little baby in the night and took good care of her. The three fairys names; Flittle, Knotgrass and Thistletwit, thought they did it all by themselves. Non of this is true. When Freya goes to the baby again, someone is giving her a complement. His name was Diaval. He asked her is they could walk together. When Freya meets Diaval and have the night of her life, she didn't expect she wouldn't see him for that long. Little Aurora was having a tea party. Her raven friend was invited, and so was the shadow that always followed her around. She already knew the shadow wouldn't show up directly, but she still set a place at the table. The shadow, meanwhile, waited and watched from afar. She claimed to be against such childish things, but she just could not take her eyes off the sweet little girl.

No one stood by Maleficent longer and no one understood her story better, but Diaval never gets to tell his side of the story. This is a retelling of the movie Maleficent focusing on the relationship between Diaval and maleficent starting with scene where we first meet Diaval. Authors's note (Fanfiction isn't really my thing for the most part, this is mostly just a way for me to practice my writing and since it's mostly all laid out for me I can focus just on that without worrying about creating a new plot, which is always the hardest part for me. I'm going to try and write out the whole movie but no promises.) Author's other note (I might misspell Maleficent in a few places. Sorry about that, It's just such a crazy name. I keep trying to add an unnecessary i every few letters.)

"Whether it was you or Stefan, it doesn't matter! If we don't do something, she's going to grow up thinking this is acceptable!" Diaval cried. It was chilling to see how much Aurora could resemble Maleficent and Stefan, and although Maleficent didn't say it out loud, she could agree that she never wanted to see this side of the child ever again. Luckily, Diaval has a plan...

What would happen if everything they have told us wasn't how we believed? If there wasn't only one curse? If apart forma The Sleeping Beauty there was someone else? A raven, a fairy, two sisters, two curses and just one destiny. Romance, adventure and mistery.

It felt like looking into a mirror, the only difference being that while Aurora mourned a man named Phillip, Maleficent had mourned a man named Stefan. But even so, the core of the story remained and it seemed as if they were eternally doomed to repeat it.

*This story takes place after the main plot.* Maleficent has her wings, Aurora and Phillip are living in the castle and things are happily ever after. But Diaval is alone, pushed to the back, and life’s plot must go on. What will happen to the sleeping beauty, an avenged fairy, the new king, and a pretty little black bird? ~All rights go to their respective owners, I do not own any pictures or characters.~
