Natural enemies forced together by unnatural means. Word count- 16,489 (Y/n) is a proud and free wolf, that is until hunters bring her close to death. She is saved by a wingless fairy with a thirst for revenge and her raven companion. (Y/n) is thrusted into this adventure with cursed princesses, pixies, and a strange feeling called love. A wolf and raven bond is a strange feeling. And even stranger as the bond develops into something more. Rewatched Maleficent recently and was reminded of how much I love Diaval. So I figured why not write this. This story with follow the first movie not sure yet if I'll do the second one, but most likely I will. Also the reader is based off an OC of mine so there will be some details for the reader. Also I wrote most of this in one sitting so yeah, didn't do much editing so sorry if there are extra mistakes, I try to catch them while writing. #1- diaval (4-21-21)

Maleficent is living a pretty good life ever since Aurora's wedding. She has been taking turns between the Moors, the beastie's kingdom, some occasional expeditions to find other from her kind and the dark fae's secret base - as Diaval liked to call. Diaval who, as her loyal right hand, accompanied her in each of those places. But then one day said companion, who was no longer her servant but rather a friend, decided to blurt out a very unexpected question. "How can one court a Dark Fae?" And that's when her whole world turned upside down.

After the events of the first movie, Aurora struggles to rule over the magical creatures of the Moors after having lived the past sixteen years as a human peasant. She'll need Maleficent's guidance, and courage in her own abilities. But will her humanness get in the way of her being a good queen? Was Maleficent overhasty in crowning the princess? She isn't tied up or anything like that but she does have a very over-protective mother and father who just happen to be Maleficent and her servant, turned husband, Diaval. It's not easy trying to sneak out to see your best friend when your parents could be anywhere! Like anywhere, I mean they can fly for gods sake! Even though she can't get away from her parents, she has a very lovely life in The Moors. This is until her best friend is brutally murdered by no other than her Uncle Philips brother. Leaving her grief stricken, Rose sets out for revenge. Will Maleficent be able to stop her daughter from searching for revenge as she did once upon a time? Or will it be to late? Will Rose be the real reason that the Kingdom comes crumbling down?

When nightmares plague Aurora, it takes both Diaval and Maleficent to calm her down and not for the first time does she realize how lucky she is to have such a loving family. And the feeling is mutual, Diaval and Maleficent drawing just as much strength and comfort from each other and Aurora as Aurora draws from. It's exactly what family is really all about.
