[aged up characters! They're in high school] Dib is growing up and he's beginning to realize many things- such as how chasing Zim is no longer something he wants to do. Dib is anxious about the future, he wants to change and be a somewhat normal person- he was tired of all the fighting. Unlike him, Zim doesn't want things to change. (TW! FOR EATING DISORDERS) [ EDIT; damn i rlly don't like this LmfAODNWJ]

Zim and Dib are in Hi Skool and Zim is still plotting to destroy Earth longing to please the Tallest. Dib has barely tried to stop Zim realizing he could never really take over Earth until Zim randomly stops showing up to Skool and hasn't left his home. Dib, still not really over his paranormal investigator dreams, decides to investigate why. I do not own any of the characters in this story. Invader Zim is by Jhonen Vasquez.

(This story doesn't focus 100% on ZaDr, I just wanted to mark it as such just so people uncomfortable with the subject don't accidentally read it! Also, yes, this is a Coraline au, some of the dialouge will be the exact same.)

Year's have past and a lot has changed. Zim and Dib have both grown and Dib has matured more than Zim as expected...but Zim nonetheless has still matured. They're suddenly college dorm mates to both their surprise and after reunited have to learn how to not only coexist, but learn their own feelings and emotions.

It seemed like he had finally gotten everything that he had ever wanted. Yet... there was still an empty feeling in his soul. An empty feeling of dread.
