Based off the amazing comic by the same name. I'd recommend reading it before you read this, as I'm not sure how much justice I do for it. I just found myself sensing underlying motives and hidden meanings that weren't clearly represented, and the third person limited POV left me feeling like something was missing. So I've taken it upon myself to rewrite this story from multiple first person POVs (Primarily Babs, secondarily Dick, and others). Follow Barbara Gordon, freshly out of college, as she begins her long and entirely unexpected journey to becoming the vigilante known as Batgirl. (and what it looks like from others' perspective!) Being the fangirl I am, there's a very romance-heavy subplot between Dick and Babs, and it's... well, you'll see. This is my first fic, constructive criticism and ideas are more than welcome! Please tell me what you think. (whether I finish this or not is going to depend upon feedback, as I tend to lose motivation unless I have people relying on me. So if you like it, please let me know and I will definitely continue!) I apologize for any errors or OOC-ness. Obviously I do not own the characters, universe, or even the plot to the story, I just tweaked a few things here and there. All of that belongs to DC comics.

After the sudden disappearance of Batman, Gotham City is plunged into chaos. Criminals, once kept in check by the mere presence of the Dark Knight, begin to rise and take over the city. Amidst the turmoil, Nightwing returns to Gotham from Blüdhaven, determined to restore order and uncover the truth behind Bruce Wayne's mysterious vanishing.

"Come on," Cassie said in exasperation, gazing at their exhausted leader "you have to rest! You're going to make yourself sick!" "I'm fine," Nightwing insisted, to the frustration of the team, and continued working on the case. Cassie glared at the back of his head in determination. The city of Bludhaven has been low on crime for months, not just the stuff the famous Nightwing takes care of, ever since the appearance of a new masked hero who simply goes by Sparrow. Dick Grayson usually wouldn't be concerned because things like this come and go,but once this masked heroine starts killing her victims using weapons similar to those used by the Batfamily and leaving behind his symbol written in her victim's blood. It's clear something has to be done before "Sparrow's" actions get even more violent. But when it's a familiar teenage girl behind the mask, is Dick ready to stop her at all costs?

The story is a focus on Nightwing and Damian. Includes a variety of characters. It follows the batfam as they grieve Barbara Gordon and a few fallen Allies. Some situations and characters may be OOC. TW: bad dad Bruce btw 😞

One dark night, Prince Bruce's parents were attacked by a mad sorcerer leaving only the young prince alive. With the responsibility of the kingdom thrust upon him at such a young age, he was forced to become King of Gotham. He ruled fairly and with justice, however, he banned magic and everything relating to it with such deep hatred for the thing that murdered his parents. It is now the year 1153 and the Kingdom is celebrating the end of the long war against the mad King Joker. His body was never recovered but has been assumed dead anyways. With that, the kingdom thrives and all was good. That was however changed when the young Barbara Gordon turned eighteen and started having violent nightmares about the Joker. Barbara soon discovers that she dreams of things that afterwards come to pass. Trying to find out how or why she has this ability she struggles with hiding her powers from her father, the King and her close childhood friend, the King's ward, Dick Grayson. While finding a way to stop her nightmares from ever coming true.

Twenty years ago, they made a huge mistake. The JLA and other heroes worldwide ignored the call for help from Gotham. Why they couldn't see it in their hearts to forgive him, even though he saved the world. The result? Over 4 million lost their lives even more homeless and without an income. Both Blüdheaven and Gotham City were blown to smithereens, and so were most of the Bats. 2 months after the explosion only 3 bats were standing. The Bats now were the GCPD police commissioners daughter, the blood son of Batman, and the daughter of a true hero. Among the hundreds of other survivors, they are left to pick up the pieces and care for the wounded but what happens when the other heroes finally are ready to hear the whole story, or rather his story? Not rated mature but will include some topics that might be considered mature including mentions of past suicide. FYI Dick pretty much raised the bat kids, even though Batman was the legal guardian. I adopted the story from, @AhsokaTanoJedi so I hope you all enjoy it! It was also originally called Gone with Gotham so you can find it there!

I know the title is bad but I couldn't think of a better one Robin has one strange life filled with super hero friends, insane older brothers and on top of that being a hero himself, dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon make friends with Artemis crock, then the team comes along and complicates things. Including • babs x dick ( sorry birdflash fans) •reverse batfam • Artemis x Wally (again sorry 😐)
