A young teenage girl, haunted by the memories of her father's execution, attempts to escape a cruel regime by night. A solitary woman, abandoned by her husband, inadvertently plays into the cruel hands of 'the state'. In another totalitarian regime a traffic light fixer is dealt with brutally for admiring a sunset. All these characters capture the essence of what it's like to be disempowered and cruelly dehumanised at the hands of a heinous, corrupt power. This sharp collection of pertinent short stories throws an at times uncomfortable light on cruelty, injustice and persecution that is all too relevant today. But ultimately these stories celebrate the strength and determination to survive at all costs, that exists within all of us.

Friendship... It characterizes a person. Every person has a friend they can still tolerate. How is it possible that a young Hungarian boy and the heir of North Korea found each other. There was no love, there never was, and there never will be between them. Here is proof that boy-girl friendship exists. And sometimes it is stronger than ordinary friendships. It contains a fictional reality and fictional historical elements, and all names are purely invented.

"Green Neon" is the first of 20 volumes in my book series "The Right People". Tom, a 15-year-old German, is spending the summer holidays at Christina's house in Athens in 1969 during a military dictatorship. His hostess is a lawyer who represents opponents of the regime, and shortly after arriving, he meets men at Christina's flat who had been interned in a concentration camp on the island of Gyaros. This meeting makes him suspicious in the eyes of the police, with whom he engages in a game of cat and mouse without even knowing it. He meets Sophia, with whom he falls in love with the help of a full moon over the Acropolis, her brother Georgios, who is used by his father as his sister's chaperone with rather limited success, and Nikos, who soon becomes Tom's best friend. After just a few days, Tom realizes that this holiday will be very different from what he imagined at home in Hohenberg, Westphalia. How could he have known that he would experience his first great love and be hunted down by the dictatorship's henchmen, interrogated and threatened with arrest? How could he have foreseen that a bronze statue thousands of years old would take his breath away? And what would he have said to someone who had prophesied that he would soon be able to recognize plainclothes police officers by green neon signs on their foreheads? I invite you to accompany Tom and his friends on this exciting journey. All characters, except those from contemporary history, are fictitious. However, the plot itself is based on diaries and letters; historical facts have been carefully researched. New chapters are uploaded every Friday. Please don't forget to like, comment and follow my page. I would like to thank John Piccone for his hard work and the countless hours he spent editing the English translation. Have fun.

Synopsis: What happens when an outsider becomes the keeper of secrets for a cursed dynasty? At the close of the nineteenth century, a physician from Buenos Aires leaves Argentina to immerse himself in the icy, advanced land of Kandsikia. Through his letters and memoirs, we uncover the intricate fabric of an unforgiving society where military pride coexists with human fragility. From the rehabilitation of his close confidant Dmietry to the corridors of Tenglikua Hospital, Dr. Unzué recounts-with nostalgia, irony, and raw honesty-the events that official history attempted to erase.

"The Fate of Tamara(w)" is a dystopian novel, which takes place in a futuristic USA. After the Third World War, the Americans have abolished their democracy and accepted a corrupt dictator as their new President. People are discriminated, turned into slaves and stripped of their right to make decisions on their own. President Dux is the one who takes responsibility for everything and wants his people to follow him blindly. In order to do that, he uses different conviction methods. The most popular one is the TV show "The Fate of Tamara". This is basically a 24/7 documentary of a girl's life - everyone in her life is none other than actors and everything that happens to her goes according to a script. The watchers can vote on what they want to happen to the girl - Tamara - next. This way, the President persuades the Americans that they are nothing but pawns in his hands. Just like they choose Tammie's fate, he chooses theirs and there is nothing they can do about it. Tammie is not an ordinary girl. Her life has always been extremely interesting and action-packed thanks to the writers of the show. She is the only girl in an all-male volleyball team, which is one of the main reasons her relationships with other boys are so complicated. Her teammates are like family to her, so the seven of them often embark on many adventures together. Things get interesting when Tammie becomes suspicious about her surroundings and starts to question her closest friends. Will she find out the truth and rebel?

Book Three: Ryan Tedder is the face of the newly-formed rebellion, but he thinks he's only half the man for the job. Although he holds a deep rage for President Carter, he doesn't think he's fit to lead the one rebellion that will last. Yet his anger is justified - not only does this dictatorship hold a terrifying reign over the nation, but it's filled to the brim with lies. For instance, there is no war between the United Kingdom and the United States. All the horrors the U.S. had unleashed were not because of a war, but merely gain for a power-hungry tyrant. Yet with the help of a group of trained and combat-ready rebels called "The Green," led by tough and tactical genius Daryl Conley, Ryan holds hope that he will, at last, be able to live his life free again. With Daryl and his group's help, Ryan, his bandmates, and others close to him must find ways to bring the government down, all while they're labeled public enemies and fugitives. On top of being committed for treason, Ryan must continue to find a way to save Ramona from the waves of her returned depression before they finally drown her. There's no doubt he's got a lot on his plate, but he may be the only one who can lead the nation back to independence - and being only half a man isn't going to cut it. © 2017 by Verona Rohellec.
