With both Bowser and Bowser Jr. still imprisoned, new bad guys are ready to take the stage and to achieve their evil plans. New characters joining in, like Daisy, and others returning like Donkey Kong, and even a new character that is ready to learn his past and find a place to call home. Following the destruction of the NILS statue, Captain Cuttlefish discovered sunlight wasn't the only thing powering the devastating weapon. At the core of NILS was a strange white crystal shard, boasting energy levels comparable to dozens of Great Zapfish. Now, Inkadian residents find themselves at the mercy of a great evil in the form of hypnotic wooden spirits called the Tiki Tak Tribe. The threat is evidently out of the New Squidbeak Splatoon's league, but fortunately, they aren't the only ones gunning for the tribe. Even so, one has to wonder if they'll be able to stop these spirits from taking over Inkadia... or will the entire world fall to their instrumental hypnosis?

Now the Kongs venture in and out of Kongo Bongo with their animal allies where they're running and protecting the Crystal Coconut from the deranged Gruntilda, Capital B., The Tiki Tak Tribe, The Snowmads and the evil King K. Rool! Fortunately, they ran into a group of famous mystery solvers called Mystery Inc. Now the Kong Klan and Mystery Inc must solve mysteries and dodge the antics of King K. Rool!
