Most suffer a war that changed fast causing small groups to be formed and a mass effect of safety throughout many towns and cities to keep those infected with an outbreak that turns them into nature when their life comes to an end if infected but when infected could be deadly to those who aren't. See how a group of five manage to fight for themselves as the Trigin Military continues to conquer the north by any means necessary even if muder is needed. Life behind the walls seem safe but life outside the wall might be safer, even though few come back alive.
