Checking in on everyone else, the Revolutionaries that are still alive have to fight for their ideals after the end of the world. There are some randos scattered to the wind and all, but mostly everyone else is dead. So here we are waiting around for little sparks in the darkness and dust to turn into blazes and burn away the stains of the negative time and usher in the subsequent renaissance.
