I'm a romantic, there's no denying it. I find romance and love to be amazing, except for one day every single year: Valentine's Day. Everybody turns into a romantic once a year and I turn into a spiteful and bitter person because of it. It's not like it's my fault, I mean, if you'd been single for your whole life and were surrounded by the one thing you love but didn't have on the same day every single year, yeah, you'd be a little bitter too. All of my friends have their boyfriends/girlfriends to get something while I'm just over here in the corner eating ice cream and watching movies. Everyone loves romance on Valentine's Day except me; my friends say that I need to put myself out there, but when all your crushes end in you getting crushed, who would want to take that chance? I was checking my mail on that dreaded day, when lo and behold, there was a letter in there. And not just any letter; it was a letter in a pretty purple envelope, my favorite color actually. But what kind of letter you ask? A love letter. To me. The perpetually single girl got a love letter on Valentine's Day. Wow. But wait a minute; who sent it? The silence that once lay on the street was broken by the sound of my bare feet slapping against the rough, harsh concrete. I could here his yells from behind me as I quickened my pace.
