Let me be clear: Deeper Life isn't a new trend or a catchy phrase. It's a reality rooted in Christ and echoed in the hearts of saints, both past and present. I believe our spiritual ancestors like Pastor W.F. Kumuyi and Pastor E.A. Adeboye caught this vision. If I ever sat down to have a cup of tea with either of them, I'm confident we'd be 100% aligned on this point: The Christian journey isn't meant to stay on the surface. We're called to blast through the crust of convenience and go deep into the bedrock of Christ until we hit the depths of His fullness. Some today call it the Higher Life. That's not wrong. But here's the thing: before you go higher, you must first go deeper. The path to the higher life is the deeper life. The path to the deeper life is digging deep. Paul paints the full picture in his prayer for the Ephesian believers: "That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us." - Ephesians 3:17-20 Here, Paul describes a faith that is rooted, not floating. A love that is deep, not shallow. A power that works within us, not around us. That, my friend, is the Deeper Life. Read this book to get on top of your flow in this life changing experience.
