Venti has owed Diluc for a while, his little performances haven't been paying up in the long run. So the drunken bard promises to help Diluc out with his struggles. *notes!! (read!!) -- don't forget that although this is a diluc X venti fic, I do not sexualize venti in ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM. Diluc is 20-25 and Venti is well.. 2500. Now his body age is somewhat of 17+ but for this fic or any other I do not want to imply that diluc and Venti are having a sexual relationship. I think that they go cutely together because of the reincarnation theory pretty much. I wouldn't even think that they would properly kiss (like other than pecks on the cheek etc) or any hanky-panky whatsoever. I simply enjoy the dynamic and slightly romantic relationship possibility between them (P.s I headcanon venti as asexual either way - and for diluc probably greysexual? Diluc has been a good older-brother figure for venti, tho diluc wanted more. They never met eachother again because of diluc, but honestly. Diluc regrets cutting off all ties with venti. He wanted to apologize but venti is nowhere to be found. Until destiny brings them together again, and that is the last chance to fix diluc mistake.

What is not sweet, however, is the next thing Venti pulls out of their bag. It is Diluc's nemesis, his mortal enemy, the one thing he truly fears- a hairbrush. "Absolutely not," Diluc says, shuffling away from them as fast as he can. "Venti, you're going to hurt me. That thing is evil, I swear to God, do not bring it near me." (venti takes care of a stressed diluc by making him laugh and braiding his hair <3)

It was confusing and overwhelming. Beause of this it caused him to distance himself from the person he was thinking so much of, Venti. He had never cared about this bard before but all of the sudden he does and the other seems to feel the same way. Venti would now often be by his side and show interest in him. He would care alot and do so many sweet things for him that it left Diluc even more confused. Will he accept his feelings or continue to run away from them?

Someone stole a precious wine bottle from Master Diluc. Oh nooooo!!! Diluc suspects the annoying bard Venti might've had something to do with it, so he travels to Mondstadt to interrogate him. As it turns out the thief is not the bard, so a greater search begins. Together with Venti, Diluc travels to Liyue in search of clues for the whereabouts of the bottle. On the journey, something very unexpected happens, Diluc and Venti start falling for one another. Thus begins a mystery not only to find the bottle, but also one to find out what their feelings for each other really mean.

Diluc Ragnvindr hates bare feet. Venti has no idea-and parades around barefoot anyway. What starts as a mild irritation quickly spirals into flustered tickle attacks, matching socks, soft movie nights, and one bard slowly breaking through the winery owner's stoic walls. It's a slowburn, full of tea, chaos, emotional vulnerability, and just a smidge of angst. Secrets are spilled, giggles are weaponized, and love tiptoes in on socked feet. Literally.
