Four years after the conclusion of Last Sacrifice Rose and Dimitri are going strong, Lissa is a queen worth waiting for and Moroi combat magic is finally taking off. Life is good. Until someone from inside Court becomes a threat to Lissa. Now Rose must find out who among them has it out for the queen before they do something irrevocable. And there's also the little matter of a miracle to deal with.

*A Vampire Academy AU fanfic* An AU fic that branches away from the main storyline during Shadow Kiss: after the cabin, fight, and cave rescue. Dimitri's body isn't there - so he has been turned. Or has he? When he returns, he and Rose make their relationship public. Lissa plans *everybody's* future. Dimitri and Rose kick a** at Rose's trials, Abe, Janine, Art (not dead in this au), Alberta, Kirova, Victoria, Olena support Rose and Dimitri, and Rose realizes that she now has a wonderful family. Romitri fluff, mainly. Rated T for romance, some innuendo; nothing graphic. COMPLETE PS - I am sorry to say that i won't be writing the planned sequels to Coming Home to You or No One Ever Looks Up. I'm not really in the Vampire Academy fandom anymore, much as I love Vampire Academy, and I have too many demands on my time just now to do them justice. Rose has somehow found herself in trouble and running away again. But this time... with Dimitri's baby? Chapters 10-19 are pretty crappy, but I promise I'm working to make them better, I may go back and revise them once I'm done this fanfic.
