Kira Warner comes home one day to see an owl perched on her window. Clutched between its talons is a red letter; Athena writes that she is Kira's mother and informs her that she has been selected to fight for the Goddess of Wisdom's honor. Reluctantly, Kira joins the tournament being held in Eris' Triangle; there she meets the 17 other demigods who have been handpicked by their parents to fight to their death. Almost immediately, Kira realizes that joining this game may have been a bad idea. *** This story explores the darker sides of the characters used in Teens From Olympus, exploring the real value of demigods to their deity parents. For a better read, be sure to read the Teens From Olympus trilogy first before reading this side novel.

Die beiden sind ineinander verliebt, haben es sich aber noch nicht gesagt beziehungsweise noch nicht getraut es sich zu Sagen. It was meant to be a birthday present for her, but I've decided to share it here. ^^

This comes from Euripides' play The Bacchae. A lot of it also comes from The Birth of Tragedy. Something in me wants to defy Dionysius.

He had lied to Dionysius by telling him that the reason for his prohibition was that he, Zeus, was interested in Sigda, as if there were not a thousand other more nymphs worth his time. The true reason, though, was a prediciton of Apollo, that said that if Dionysius allowed himself to fall for the nymph, in the end it would all come to a decision, and someone, a god, would not choose well.
