At St. Lourdes Academy, two students are known as the brightest minds of their generation. Luca Villanueva, the school's mathematics wizard, can solve impossible equations faster than anyone else. Logical, disciplined, and competitive, he believes every problem has a solution. Lala Reyes, the science genius, is equally brilliant. Curious, creative, and fearless, she dominates every science competition she enters. She also has a strange obsession with matcha and wasabi-flavored food. The problem? Luca absolutely hates matcha and wasabi. And he dislikes Lala almost as much. Their rivalry becomes legendary throughout the academy as they compete for the title of top student. Every contest turns into a battle of intelligence and pride. But when circumstances force them to work together for a prestigious national academic competition, they slowly discover that behind the arguments and competition are two lonely teenagers carrying enormous expectations. As friendship begins to replace rivalry, feelings neither of them expected start to grow. Can mathematics and science finally find a common formula for love? Or will their stubborn hearts remain unsolved?

Novel Rating: 10/10 The saying "extreme joy begets sorrow" was likely coined for Lu Qingran. Just an hour ago, 28-year-old Lu Qingran had been promoted to manager of a department store. An hour later, she was in a car crash on her way home. When she woke up again, Lu Qingran was still Lu Qingran, but she had become the peasant girl Lu Qingran. Since she was here, she would make the best of it, Lu Qingran thought optimistically, but reality had other plans. The peasant girl, Lu Qingran, had lost her birth mother early. Her father remarried, and her stepmother, having given birth to two plump, healthy boys in three years, had become the family's hero, elevating her stepsister's status in the process. The stepsister had a marriage contract to a dirt-poor family. The stepsister refused to marry, making Lu Qingran the only suitable substitute bride. The young girl couldn't bear the thought, and when she woke up again, the soul within her was new. "I'll marry for you, but only if you sever all ties with me," the new Lu Qingran declared. "From now on, I will have nothing to do with any of you." The stepmother and stepsister couldn't have been happier. The in-laws were poor, true, but the father-in-law was honest and decent, the mother-in-law was sharp and capable, and the younger siblings were sweet. The family was harmonious. As for her cheap husband? Lu Qingran could only say that Heaven had been kind; she had actually encountered such a peerless good man. Then came the great drought from the heavens. Grains yielded nothing, barbarians invaded, and the people were forced to flee. From then on, drought, locusts, torrential rain, floods, plague... natural disasters struck relentlessly. While others fleeing the famine withered to sticks, the Yan family members were rosy-cheeked and plump. Her severed family came knocking to sponge off her good fortune. Lu Qingran's response was sharp: "Who are you? I don't know you." Author: Translator:

The complete history of one of mankind's greatest engineering achievements, RMS Titanic. RMS (Royal Mail Steamer) Titanic was a British ocean liner owned and operated by the White Star Line. Titanic began her life at Harland & Wolff shipyard in the town of Belfast, Ireland. She began her maiden voyage on April 10th 1912, departing from the town of Southampton in the southern part of the United Kingdom. Following stops in Cherbourg, France, and Queenstown (now Cobh) in Ireland, Titanic and her 2,226 passengers and crew headed west towards America. Just before midnight on April 14th 1912, Titanic struck a massive iceberg, damaging six of her sixteen watertight compartments. At 2:20 am on April 15th 1912, Titanic broke into four pieces and sank to the bottom of the North Atlantic. Of the 2,226 souls aboard, 712 were saved. An estimated 1,514 people lost their lives. On September 1st 1985, Oceanographer Robert Ballard discovered the wreckage of Titanic 2 1/2 miles (12,500 feet or 3,800 meters) beneath the surface of the North Atlantic. Note: In this story, I write about Titanic as if she were a living being, even if she isn't actually alive. I and the people refer to her as "she" or "her". I have also added conversations into the story. I made them based on what I think the people would've said and to help make the story more realistic instead of it just being an information dump. A lot of the information in later chapters comes from A Night to Remember (Both book and movie) as well as Titanic (1997), and my own research. The majority of this book is factual, while some parts are fictional or dramatizations. This book is dedicated to the 1,514 men, women, and children who lost their lives aboard Titanic, and the 712 people that survived.

The dead hand of history still grips the throat of the present. Three centuries after a meteor shower struck Earth, humanity is divided between the powered and the originals. One group changed. One did not. In the years that followed, a virus killed billions, twisted the natural world into something monstrous, and gave fear a shape to blame. The powered have carried that blame ever since. Collared, controlled, and sent beyond the city walls, they are forced to fight the mutations that roam the wilds. Ezra, a doctor, refuses to accept the world's clean divisions. He treats anyone who needs him, believing every life has value, even in a city built on deciding otherwise. When one act of mercy toward a stranger pulls him into a hidden war, Ezra begins to uncover the truth buried beneath generations of fear. Tension between originals and powered reach a breaking point, and Ezra faces a choice that could alter the course of humanity. One where the line between saving and destroying becomes increasingly blurred.

???: ''To anyone listening who has not been infected, this is a message from the Environmental Logistics & Solutions Enterprise. As you are keenly aware, our dear Earth has seen better days before the Great Desertification. And to make matters even more dire, our own attempt at combating it has turned against us. This planet is beyond our control, and beyond our help. Which is why we have taken to the stars for a fresh new start.'' ''By the time you've received this -- we, among the rest of humanity's remnants, have set a course for the identified exoplanet Si-[**static**] confirmed to support life. As for you and anyone else unfortunate enough to've been left behind, our organization has left a parting gift to help mitigate this global ordeal. And so, we ask that you be well-advised.'' ''If you happen to come across any carrier of the Absolute Zero virus, direct skin contact is to be avoided at all cost. It cannot be treated, and despite our best efforts, there is no known cure. So in terms of safety precautions, long-ranged heat-based weaponry is highly recommended; Flame throwers, explosives, lasers, etc. But keep in mind that they can only slow them down, not kill them outright. The cold from within will not allow that.'' ''Furthermore, hiding from plain sight is not a viable option. They will know where you are. Not by your tracks, but by-[***static***]-atter-[***static***]-verall survival strategy is to stay as far away from the carrier as possible -- and allow our trusted St. Helio units to intervene. Rest assured, they will keep them subdued. And if all goes according to plan, the virus we created will spread no further.'' ''Those of you who remain here have our deepest apologies. As well as our sincerest hope that you may persevere, just as human life has done since the very beginning. On behalf of ELSE, I bid you goodbye, good luck, and Godspeed. This world rests in your hands now.'' [*****static*****] Joleen Adrieau: ''... ... ...''
