Mia a forty something Black woman goes on a first date.

I dont know how everything's going to turn out, but I'm going to stay strong and try to push through. Just a few of my inmost thoughts and poems. I write these when I'm going through a hard time, and it kind of shows how I'm feeling at the moment.

All of us felt discouraged at some point. So much that it paralyzed us to do the things we really want, something we really are passionate about. It feels like we've been defeated by an unknown enemy but the good thing is that we can do something about it. There are times when you have a lot to say but don't have the courage to say it out loud.

keyla mathon was always the supporting character to her bestfriend, jane. She was there to support her bestfriend's love story, was there to advise her bestfriend when her bestfriend had problems and was there when her bestfriend had dramas with her boyfriend but Why All of a sudden, A Hot bad boy comes into her life? She wasn't a nerd nor a popular girl. She wasn't poor nor rich. She wasn't that kind but also not that bad. then why is there a bad boy in her life?

Sometimes when life gets you down and you find yourself helpless, you seek for mercy and peace. Life is neither a bed of roses nor a bed of thorns, it lies somewhere in between. Sometimes you're stuck in such situations in which you feel like giving up or powerless but then you find a way to make it till the end, you find strength and hope in darkness. *** At times you meet certain strangers who understand you and your life, your fears and your pain much better than the people who claim to love you. You feel free to share your traumas and your insecurities with them because they don't judge you anyways. *** So here I'm to build a strong bond with all of you who are going through any ups and downs in your life. Taking your sufferings in my consideration, I'm here to create a atmosphere of love and understanding with all of you because I know how it feels to go through such tough times without anyone by your side. The purpose of this book is to help one another fight their battles with courage and bravery. To overcome your troubles, may it be; family abuse, bully, sexual harassment, academic pressure, school life, racism, violence or any other, you may either comment on the chapters or slide into my inbox!

It's a painful feeling falling in love with someone you know that there's a possibility you'll never meet. It's painful to come to reality that there's a possibility you could never be with the person you love so much physically. Long distance relationships hurts.

Life doesn't always turn out the way you want it to but it's always up to you to fight for what you want. Everyone was against their relationship because they felt it was wrong and it would be best they end everything. Are they going to listen to them ??? Or they're going to fight for what they want.

"The devil doesn't come to you with a red face and horns, he comes disguised as everything you've wanted..." A person comes into her life and won't leave her alone even when she pushes them away. After living in the convent for most of her adult life, the writer found herself out on her own in the world. Whimsical and poignant, this is her actual journal as she struggled to maintain her faith and her sense of humor while learning how to live, act, and dress like a 'normal person'.

Lily. It's a flower that symbolizes 'innocence and purity as well as beauty'. Lily Johnson knows what it's like to be abused as a child. She went through it for years - she pushed through. What she didn't know was that her young niece, Ashlynn, was also going through abuse. But, Ashlynn is pushing through with Lily and the Bible right by her side. Lily is sure she will save her purity for her husband. Everything from her first kiss. When she meets Alex, she falls hard. She wants to do everything with him. However, he is willing to go farther than Lily had planned, but he makes her feel beautiful - something she can't remember feeling before. Will she break the promise that she made to herself years ago? Will she resist the temptation that Alex brings? Will she gain the strength and self-confidence to leave Alex and start growing closer to God?
